Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak [Sarawak consists of Miri(MYY), Bintulu (BTU) & Sibu (SBW)], the largest state in Malaysia situated in Borneo Island (East Malaysia). Borneo Island consist of three (3) countries, they are Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. Kuching is one of the transhipment hub toward Indonesia and also Brunei.
Most of the Borneo Island Cargo transhipment is either by Sea Freight or Air Freight by using Kuching International Airport (KIA) and Senari Sea Port as a gateway. Kuching will act as a transhipment hub for distribution to Sarawak, Indonesia & Brunei for the inbound cargo from Penisular Malaysia also known as West Malaysia and also International inbound toward Kuching.
